Event Details

Find your family, flag down your friends, or scout out your troop: it’s time to gather your group and enter the C.C. Mellor Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Register here to get a free pumpkin from the library to decorate. (Providing your own? No need to register, just drop off your pumpkin!)

 

Rules: 

  1. Pumpkins should be decorated to look like a favorite book character
  2. Pumpkins must be painted or accessorized, not carved, so that they don’t rot waiting for Halloween.
  3. Pumpkins should be appropriate for display in the children’s room. 

 

Important Dates:

September 22: Registration Opens (We’ll have a limited number of pumpkins available, but if registration fills, you are still welcome to supply your own pumpkin and join the contest!)

Week of October 6: Registered participants can pick up their pumpkins

Week of October 13: Drop off your decorated pumpkin at CCM Edgewood

Week of October 20: Stop by the children’s room at CCM Edgewood to vote for your favorite pumpkin

Week of October 27: Winners will be announced and all participants may pick up their pumpkins to use as decorations at home

Any pumpkins left at the library after November 1 will be disposed of.
