Solarpunk is a fiction genre that asks: What would a better future look like? What role can fiction play in getting people to reimagine the world we share?
The Forest Hills Environmental Advisory Council and the C. C. Mellor Memorial Library of Forest Hills are hosting a workshop on how to write solarpunk stories and poems. We'll learn how to tell stories set in a utopian future with grounded characters and plausible histories - which can be more challenging, and potentially more impactful, than writing dystopian fiction.
